About
Eric's Backyard

Eric’s Backyard is a volunteer-run, youth-led, not-for-profit organization that designs, coordinates and promotes events that showcase local artists, musicians and filmmakers. Our festivals foster a safe, welcoming community for young creatives – including film, visual arts and music - allowing them to share their talents with their friends, family and neighbours in their (figurative) backyard.

Our Vision

To ensure that our audience leaves with memories that will last a lifetime, every Eric’s Backyard event is committed to creating a space that people feel safe, happy and excited. By showcasing the talent of unique individuals and groups and the focus on surreal theming, the space we create will become a living, breathing organism.

Our Values

  • Empower and inspire the youth of Oakville and the surrounding GTA area.
  • Give artists an immediate outlet for their work and to create community ties with one another to encourage communication and safety
